Special Needs Readiness Survey

Texas A&M University-Texarkana receives ongoing funding from the Texas Education Agency (TEA) for The Special Education Recruitment and Retention Grant.  Through this grant, A&M - Texarkana administers funds that are awarded to universities to promote recruitment and retention of special education teachers.  Data collected with this survey will be used to improve the grant's recruitment and retention strategies, to prepare a report to TEA, to make presentations, and to write research publications.

Participants in this survey should be teachers, administrators, and other teacher-certified instructional support personnel from Texas school districts.  All survey participants should be at least 18 years of age.

Participation in this survey is strictly voluntary.  There is no reward for participation or penalty for non-participation.  But your input will be valuable in helping this project improve special education recruitment, retention, and preparation.

Confidentiality of information collected through this survey will be strictly maintained.  Submission of responses to this survey will indicate the respondent's informed consent to participate.
